Slideshow: How to Pack Carry-On Luggage for a 10 Day Trip

This slideshow is of a flight attendant who packs 10 days worth of clothing in 1 carry-on! And this is for 10 days without use of a washing machine or washing out clothing in a sink. It's pretty amazing.

She rolls the clothes instead of folding them. She shows what her bag would look like if she packed it either way. The rolling method seems to fit a lot better. I'm not sure which method keeps the wrinkles out the best. I really hate to iron clothes on a trip. Mostly I look for items that can be shaken out & look fine.

You won't believe how many items she packs in that one carry-on. One thing I want to add to my packed items is a clutch purse like she has. It's takes up very little space and adds a lot of versatility to outfits. Great idea!

Whenever we travel I bring along a list of the outfits I plan to wear for each day. It's a flexible plan, but it helps because I don't have to remember which top should be worn with what. And I don't end up near the end of the trip with only items that don't go together.

  1. If you have a camera phone you can take photos of the outfits for a quick way to remember what goes with what.
